Mar Media was founded by Marla Marquez, a bilingual media strategist with deep experience building high-impact campaigns across broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms. With a background spanning both general market and Spanish-language media, Marla brings a culturally fluent, hands-on approach to every partnership.

Her work bridges insight and execution, helping brands connect meaningfully with today’s audiences while delivering measurable business results. Having worked closely within media organizations, Marla understands the inner workings of how campaigns are planned, negotiated, executed, and optimized.

That perspective makes her a trusted ally in campaign execution ensuring strategies move seamlessly from concept to launch, with clarity, efficiency, and performance in mind. As a founder-led firm, Mar Media offers senior-level strategy, direct collaboration, and intentional execution ensuring every campaign is built with purpose, precision, and results in mind.

Strategic Advisor

Philip C. Wilkinson is a seasoned media executive with over three decades of experience shaping Spanish-language and multicultural media. In 1990, he founded KBNT-TV/Univision, the first Spanish-language television station in San Diego. In 1996, he co-founded Entravision Communications Corporation, where he served as President and COO for nearly two decades. He later co-founded Serestar Communications, which was subsequently acquired by NBCUniversal.

As a Strategic Advisor, he provides senior guidance to support Mar Media’s growth, partnerships, and expansion across general market, Spanish-language, and public affairs media.
